Greetings Prevailers:
We know that things have been changing rapidly over the last few days. We trust that you are staying in faith, trusting Jehovah and not allowing the uncertainty of the moment to get you in fear. Remember, “God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Tim1:7 Regardless of the situation(s) we find ourselves in, we still stand in faith.
After meeting with the Executive Team of Prevailing, we have decided to move ALL of our services to streaming ONLY in both locations. We will not be gathering physically for service. The team was able to implement strategies for our church in this temporary, non-gathering, shut down situation. Please know that even though we must operate differently concerning services provided, classes offered and various ministry meetings, our Executive Team, Staff and ministry team leaders are committed to still providing excellent ministry to our church family and community.
Please know that Pastor Monica and I are praying that you experience God’s perfect peace today, and in the weeks to come. In times of turmoil, we anchor our hope and confidence in God and in His Word. Here are just a few of the promises for times such as these:
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. … Surely, He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence (Psalm 91:1, 3).
You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance (Psalm 32:7).
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).
I believe we have an opportunity to show a fearful world the calm confidence that comes from being children of God. Now more than ever, the world needs to hear the truth of Jesus’ love, hope, and grace. And we won’t stop in sharing that message.
